C. C. Ann Chen

C. C. Ann Chen is a Chicago-based visual artist and educator whose work grows out of architecture and landscape, using drawing and collage to explore how places are perceived and misread. She was a 2026 Surf Point resident and appeared with fellow residents at a talk at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She is an adjunct associate professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her recent work draws on sea voyages to remote parts of the North Atlantic and Arctic. She has exhibited in Chicago and elsewhere, and her 2026 show Parallel Visions is at Tiger Strikes Asteroid Chicago.
