CAO Collective

CAO Collective, also known as Chinese Artists and Organizers (CAO) Collective 离离草, makes art to support relational community healing, drawing on China, the Sinophone diaspora, and marginal experiences. Its practice mixes poetry, performance, food, clay, film, sound, and installation. It is co-directed by the artist duo hú-tu, made up of huiyin zhou and Laura Dudu. The collective was a 2026 resident at The Luminary in St. Louis and was named a curatorial resident for Vox Populi's An Endless Meeting.
