Carla Sofia Ferreira

Carla Sofia Ferreira is a poet and English teacher from Newark, New Jersey, and the daughter of Portuguese immigrants. Her debut poetry collection, A Geography That Does Not Hurt Us, was published by River River Books in 2024. Her writing explores migration, distance, urban geography, and translation. Her poems have appeared in journals including The Rumpus, Glamour, and EcoTheo.
