Carles Gabarró

Carles Gabarró is a Barcelona-born painter (born 1956) whose work is built on repetition in thick, expressive layers of paint. He trained at the University of Barcelona, moving from physics and chemistry to fine arts. He was a resident artist at Piramidón in Barcelona from 1992 to 2015, and the centre revisited his studio work in a 2019 solo show.
