Carly Glovinski

Carly Glovinski is a visual artist born in 1981 in Dover, New Hampshire, who lives and works in Maine. Her practice draws on observation of her surroundings and on natural and human-made systems, often using flowers, gardens, and pressed-flower forms. She received a BFA from Boston University in 2003. She was a resident at Surf Point in York, Maine, in 2021, where she created the Wild Knoll Foundation Garden on the former site of writer May Sarton's cottage. She has continued to tend the garden since. Her other residencies include Shoals Marine Lab, Kenyon College, and Canterbury Shaker Village.
