Carolyn A. Dahl

Carolyn A. Dahl is a poet and visual artist who makes stitch-drawing fiber works and paintings alongside her writing. Her artist site presents her as both artist and author. Her chapbook A Muddy Kind of Love, a poetry collection about rural landscapes, love, and memory, was published by North Dakota State University Press in 2020 after winning its Poetry of the Plains and Prairies award. Her other poetry collection, Art Preserves What Can't Be Saved, is also listed on her site. Beyond poetry, she has written and illustrated books on nature printing and fabric dyeing and painting techniques, and she describes herself as an experienced artist and teacher.
