Ceasar K. Avelar

Ceasar K. Avelar is a poet from Pomona, California, who writes about the working class and immigrant labor. He is the second poet laureate of Pomona. He is of Central American descent. He is the resident poet at Café con Libros Press and runs the Obsidian Tongues open mic in Pomona. His debut book, God of the Air Hose and Other Blue-Collar Poems, was published by El Martillo Press in 2023.
