Chang Yuchen

Chang Yuchen is an interdisciplinary artist who works across writing, drawing, teaching, publishing and commerce. Her ongoing project Coral Dictionary (2019–) develops a writing system based on coral debris. Her site says she has been an artist-in-residence at Triangle Arts Association and Smack Mellon. In 2025 Smack Mellon presented her two-channel video installation 'For those who share mornings and evenings,' built from screenshots and dream transcriptions tied to her late husband, Yuan Yi. The exhibition ran September 27 to December 14, 2025.
