Charlotte Ming

Charlotte Ming is a journalist, artist and researcher raised in China and based in Germany, working on culture, history, migration and identity. She was one of five Dekoloniale Berlin Residents in 2024, presenting works at the Museum Nikolaikirche. Her collaborative piece with Yangkun Shi examines German colonialism in Qingdao and Berlin. Her video work 'Between the Waves' and her 2023 audio walk 'Remembering' address colonial history in China and Berlin. She co-founded the Substack newsletter Far & Near, which covers visual arts, journalism and social issues in China.
