Cristina Ayala

Cristina Ayala is a Dallas-based fiber artist and designer originally from Monterrey, Mexico. She works with natural fibers and intuitive weaving, drawing on Mexican heritage and contemporary design. She was in Cohort 4 of The Cedars Union art incubator, which ran from 2023 into 2024. Her background includes a graphic design degree from Universidad de Monterrey and time on the East Coast, where she took up textile techniques. She began focusing on her art practice full time in 2020.
