Deborah Thompson

Deborah Thompson is a visual artist, educator and curator who works mainly in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and stop motion animation. Her figurative work explores transformation, somatic memory and the boundary between matter and spirit. She has held a studio practice since 1997. She completed a residency at Sointula Art Shed and, in 2024-2025, residencies at BoxoPROJECTS in Joshua Tree, California, and DRAWinternational in Caylus, France. Her solo exhibitions include shows in Nelson, Castlegar, Kaslo, Grand Forks, Vancouver and Reno.
