Denise Kooperman

Denise Kooperman is a fiber artist who has been profiled as a resident artist by The Ou Gallery on Vancouver Island. Her work includes collaged and felted wall hangings, felted figures, vessels and garments. She often uses a variation of the Korean joomchi technique, layering hanji mulberry paper with wool and other fibers. In her profile she also describes her career as a psychotherapist, and links the felting process to resilience.
