Don Konrad

Don Konrad is a Canadian landscape painter and illustrator who calls himself a cartoonist at heart. He has been sketching and painting since elementary school. He has shown work in many Canadian galleries and public spaces. He was a past artist-in-residence at The Narrows Art Retreat in Nelson, British Columbia, where he now mentors and tutors in watercolour. In 2022 his whimsical imaginary bird illustrations were shown at the Nelson Public Library. He created them for the book A Play on Birds with his daughter, Erica Konrad.
