E.J. Schwartz

E.J. Schwartz is a writer who publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and is the author of the young adult novel Before We Were Blue. Their short story "Warmup" appeared in Pithead Chapel. The novel, about two girls in treatment for eating disorders, won a gold IPPY award and was a 2021 Foreword INDIES finalist. Schwartz earned a B.A. from Susquehanna University and an MFA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Their work has appeared in The New York Times, Barrelhouse, and Necessary Fiction, among others.
