Eddie Vega

Eddie Vega is a poet, spoken word artist, storyteller, and educator based in San Antonio, Texas. He is the 7th Poet Laureate of San Antonio. His poetry appears on public installations in the city, including along the San Pedro Creek Cultural Park. He has published the poetry collections Chicharra Chorus (2019) and Somos Nopales (2024) with FlowerSong Press. His work often addresses food, Tejano culture, identity, and social justice.
