Elaina Battista-Parsons

Elaina Battista-Parsons is a writer whose books include the memoir in shorts Italian Bones in the Snow (2022) and the literary short-story collection Heart and Salt (2023), both from Vine Leaves Press. She also compiled and edited the press's 50-Word Stories of 2023 anthology. Her work centers on girlhood, Italian-American family life, nature, and memory. She has described writing as beginning with a memory of a feeling or setting, and has said her interest in winter and creativity runs through her work. Her memoir explores Catholicism, mental health, and family, written in both prose and verse.
