Elissa Ely

Elissa Ely is a Boston psychiatrist and writer who has long contributed personal essays to public radio and print. She is known for very short essays that capture moods and encounters. Her pieces for Appalachia, the Appalachian Mountain Club journal, are vignettes of people met in the White Mountain huts and on New England summits, and they began with a 2015 essay about a breakup at Greenleaf Hut.
