Elyse-Krista Mische

Elyse-Krista Mische is an artist, funeral professional, and Creative Thanatologist living in Appleton, Wisconsin. Her practice combines multidisciplinary creative work with thanatological research. She was an artist-in-residence at PenArt (Peninsula School of Art) in Door County, Wisconsin, around 2024. She holds a BA in Studio Art from Lawrence University and an MS in Thanatology from Marian University. She founded Fare-Well: Art and Death Café with the Trout Museum of Art and chairs the Appleton Public Arts Committee.
