Emilia Schonthal

Emilia Schonthal is a maker and educator from Boston who lives in Brooklyn. She works across jewelry, ceramic lamps, and metal and clay vessels, and teaches K-12 art. Her practice draws on everyday observation and the interplay of function and expression. She was a resident artist at The Steel Yard in Providence, RI, where she began making ceramic lamps. She holds a master's in art education from City College of New York.
