Emily DiCarlo

Emily DiCarlo is a Toronto-based, research-driven artist and writer from Canada. In August 2019 she was a resident at SÍM Residency at Korpúlfsstaðir in Reykjavik, Iceland, where she developed the project "Sleep is the Only Remaining Barrier." Her work spans video, sound, sculpture, public art and web-based pieces, and often focuses on the infrastructure of time and its effects on the body. In March 2022 she was Image-Maker in Residence for The Sociological Review.
