Emily Hunt

Emily Hunt is a poet whose books include Stranger (The Song Cave, 2024), a follow-up to her debut collection Dark Green (2015). Her poems move between everyday life, dating apps, corporate language and family grief. Creative Australia lists her as a resident at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris in 2027. The residency focuses on her research into magic, the occult and visual culture, including tarot. The pages describe her as a visual artist working in ceramics, drawing, painting and etching. Her ceramics include rings and marionettes made as tools linking art and magic. Her background as a rare-book dealer is noted on the Creative Australia page as informing her research-based approach.
