Erick Medel

Erick Medel is an artist based in Los Angeles, born in 1992. He earned an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2018. In 2019 he was a resident at the Elsewhere Museum, where he made El Coyote As A Protector. His work uses transformations in materials and form to examine how identity is customized and how consumer culture and symbolism shape ideologies. His CV lists a long run of solo and group exhibitions in the US and abroad from 2020 to 2026.
