Esra Oskay

Esra Oskay is an artist, academic and writer based in Ankara, Turkey, who holds a PhD from Edinburgh College of Art (2014) and teaches art in higher education. Her work examines the asymmetries of visibility and explores alternative forms of documentation that probe the limits of what can be seen and said. At AIR InSILo in Hollabrunn, Austria, in summer 2024, she developed a project on self-censorship in Turkey, based on a log book of overheard conversations kept since November 2023.
