Fernando López

Fernando López is a multidisciplinary artist and documentarian based in New Orleans who works in photography, video, and writing. His practice draws on a Mexican and Indigenous worldview and centers people of color, immigrants, and diasporic communities in the U.S. He was a 2025 resident at A Studio in the Woods, where he discussed his documentary work Fruit for Thought with fellow resident Sarah Fouts.
