Francesco Poiana

Francesco Poiana is an Italian-born painter, drawer and printmaker, born in 1990, who now lives and works in London. He trained in Rome and at Central Saint Martins, then joined the Royal Drawing School in 2019. His practice centres on landscape, often built from outdoor sketches that he develops into layered studio paintings and prints. In December 2023 he was an artist in residence at Hektor on Lanzarote, where he worked on volcanic landscapes for his 'Terra di Dio' series.
