Froukje van der Velde

Froukje van der Velde is a Dutch musician and emerging audio-visual anthropologist. She works between activism and anthropology, using sensorial and audio-visual media. She holds an MA in visual anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and made the documentary 'My Blood, My Medicine'. In 2023 she was a resident at Earthwise Residency in Denmark as the researcher half of the Curious Encounters 2 pair with Sara Bertolucci, exploring human-animal sonic communication.
