Gabriela Halas

Gabriela Halas is an emerging writer of short stories, poetry, and prose who has been testing the publishing waters through contests and open submissions. She was a writer in residence at the Wrangell Mountains Center in 2017, where she led a writing-in-place workshop. Her work centers on character and place, and her poems try to blur the line between the natural and the human. She has also shown work in an Arctic art and science exhibit at the University of Alaska in 2016.
