Gabrielle Egnater

Gabrielle Egnater is a sculptor whose practice centers on mini-monuments that mix oddity, design, craft, gastronomy, and remembrance. Her recent work includes "adjustable monuments" that invite viewers to attach their own memories and desires to a marker of importance. She trained in sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and works in Detroit as a metal shop technician at the College for Creative Studies, where she also teaches as adjunct faculty.
