Gabrielle Kruger

Gabrielle Kruger is a South African artist based in Cape Town, born in 1993. Her practice uses acrylic paint as a sculptural, collaged and woven material that blurs the line between painting and sculpture. She was an artist in residence at Nirox Foundation's sculpture park in the Cradle of Humankind in 2019, where she also began making wearable paintings for performance work. She later held a GlogauAIR residency in Berlin in 2023. Her work has been shown at venues including Galerie EIGEN + ART and the Norval Foundation, and she has collaborated with FIELDS on a menswear line.
