Gayatri Gamuz

Gayatri Gamuz is a Spain-born artist who has lived and worked in India since 1992, now based on an organic farm in Tiruvannamalai near the sacred hill of Arunachala. Her practice, mainly watercolour and oil, draws on oriental abstraction, Eastern philosophy and Western minimalism. She is currently in residency at Atlas. Her work centres on the idea of 'Oneness' and emphasises stillness, silence and emptiness. Her painting has been shown in a retrospective at the Fundación Antonio Pérez in Spain and in solo exhibitions in India and Europe.
