Givan Lotz

Givan Lötz is a South African visual artist known for paintings and mono-print drawings that respond to natural landscapes. His work uses encaustic wax and an approach that values intuition and process over realist depiction. He attended a month-long residency at Residency 108 in New York in 2018, which shaped his use of encaustic. His shows include the Association for Visual Arts in Cape Town and Hazard Contemporary in Johannesburg.
