Haley PETERS

Haley Peters is a Mashpee Wampanoag ceramicist and educator focused on youth action, the arts, and education in New England. They graduated with a ceramics degree from Rhode Island College in 2021. Peters coordinates courses and programs at The Steel Yard, where they held the 2022 Workshare Fellowship and the 2023 Ceramics Merit Fellowship. Peters also designed and curated the 2023 Creature Conserve exhibition Art of the Tides, which featured Providence-based artists under 25 and their connections to Rhode Island waterways. They sit on the board of a Rhode Island youth homeless shelter and work with Haus of Codec on housing for LGBTQIA+ youth.
