Hana Shoup

Hana Shoup is an American artist who was an artist in residence at DRAWinternational in Caylus, France, in 2017. Her statement describes paintings and drawings that place her own facial features into well-known portraits from art history. She is interested in women's biographies, human forms, and the way art can immortalize a person. She said the residency would let her work at a larger scale.
