Hana Ward

Hana Ward is a painter and ceramicist who was born in Los Angeles in 1989 and still lives and works there. Her work depicts Black and Brown feminine figures in ethereal, dreamlike settings, with themes of identity, introspection, and transformation. She took part in the 2023 Hayama Artist Residency in Japan and later had a solo show in Kyoto that drew on her quarter-Japanese heritage.
