Heloisa Pomfret

Heloisa Pomfret is a Brazilian-born visual artist based in Detroit and New York City. Her interdisciplinary practice uses images of the brain and the charting of mental states as a starting point for abstract painting, drawing, collage and ceramics. She works with scratching and stitching as analogies for memory, healing and the body. She has held residencies at DRAWinternational in France and GlogauAIR in Berlin.
