Henry Fraser

Henry Fraser is a New York-based double bassist, improviser, and composer born in Boston in 1991. He has worked since 2014 with artists including John Zorn, Ka Baird, and Uniform, and has performed at festivals such as Moers and Unsound. Since 2019 he has focused mainly on solo double bass music, and he was a Music Resident at Pioneer Works in summer 2025. His solo recordings include Breath Line (2024). He has also been a teaching artist with Carnegie Hall's Future Music Project, leading workshops with incarcerated youth.
