Hilary Galbreaith

Hilary Galbreaith is an American-born artist (b. 1989) based in Rennes, France. Her multimedia practice spans video, sculpture, painting, zines and sound, often using slapstick and do-it-yourself methods. In 2019 she was an artist in residence at Cripta747 in Turin, where she worked on the Parade series with Lee Fraser's residency running alongside. Her Bug franchise, including the Bug Eyes videos and the Parade performances, imagines humanoid insects in a satirical, sci-fi setting.
