Hillel Smith

Hillel Smith is a US-based visual artist and muralist. He was one of eight international Jewish artists who made etchings for the New Venice Haggadah during a residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica. His two plates for the Haggadah depict Venetian architecture arranged to spell Hebrew words and reference the 1609 Venice Haggadah. The project marked the 500th anniversary of the Venice Ghetto and was organized by Beit Venezia. The etchings were shown at the Jewish Museum of Venice in 2016.
