HU Liwei

Hu Liwei is a visual artist who took part in a 2026 residency at Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS). According to TOKAS, the residency project investigates how sweet potato came to be strongly associated with winter in Japan, looking at its shifting representations, cultural significance, and people's memories of it.
