Ilona Skladzien

Ilona Skladzien is a Polish artist who works in drawing and painting. Her practice examines socio-political 'grey areas' through a psychological lens. She uses imagery from secondary sources, altering it to address memory, perception, cruelty and free will. Recent work draws on online content, especially YouTube. She was one of the first artists in residence at DRAWinternational in 2021, where she began a drawing series titled 'YouTube'.
