IRENE ANGUITA

Irene Anguita is a painter born in Córdoba in 1997. Her work is represented by the Madrid gallery el Chico. She took part in the PADA Studios residency in Barreiro, Portugal, in 2022, alongside residencies in Spain and Mexico that year. Her solo shows at el Chico include 'Todas las fiestas del mañana' (2021) and 'SIN FIN' (2023). In 2023 her work shifted away from narrative figuration toward painting itself and the materials it can use. She was also set to take part in the Turps Studio Programme in London, according to a 2024 interview.
