Iskander Guetta

Iskander Guetta is a Swiss designer and architecture and visual arts practitioner born in 1996. He graduated in Industrial Design from ECAL in 2018. His diploma project ABRI+ looked at homeless people's shelter and housing conditions and was a finalist at the Swiss Design Awards 2019. He works on design in the Global South and on links between ecology and decolonization. He was an EXECAL resident at La Becque, the artist residency in La Tour-de-Peilz, in July 2021. There he worked with Tanguy Caversaccio on the ITAP 2084 project about Swiss civil protection shelters. The sources also date a La Becque residency report to July 2020, so the year is not fully consistent across pages.
