J.T. Bushnell

J.T. Bushnell is a Senior Instructor II in the School of Writing, Literature and Film at Oregon State University. He teaches creative writing there. He is also the author of the novel The Step Back (Ooligan Press, 2021). He writes craft essays for Poets & Writers, The Writer's Chronicle, Catapult, and Fiction Writers Review. His 2025 OSU white paper examines how guided AI use affects creativity in online writing courses. He also presents OSU video series on AI and writing and on grammar.
