Jacira da Conceição

Jacira da Conceição is a Cape Verdean ceramicist and sculptor who has lived and worked in Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal, since 2017. Her practice began in 2015 with traditional Cape Verdean pottery. Her work addresses identity, race, beauty, insularity, and feminism, and she has taken part in the Atlas Studio residency and its Time Zones project.
