Jade Yumang

Jade Yumang is a visual artist who works mainly in fiber, creating three-dimensional installations, site-specific works, and performance that explore queer identity and culture. Born in Quezon City, Philippines, they grew up in Dubai and later moved to Vancouver before settling in Chicago. They are an associate professor in Fiber and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Their Headlands Center for the Arts residency is listed for 2026, and a 2012 Fire Island Artist Residency appears in a collaborator's CV.
