Jaime Knight

Jaime Knight is an American artist, educator and musician who works across print, drawing and sculpture. Their work deals with queer subjectivity, using images from ancient Greek pottery, disco and popular culture. They were an artist in residence at DRAWinternational in 2021, presenting work at a July open studio event. Knight builds drawings through layers of heavy graphite, then etches, erases and polishes the surface, giving the work a sculptural quality. Since 2011 they have drawn on images from the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, an online archive of ancient painted vases.
