James Carey

James Carey is a Melbourne-based artist working across drawing, painting, sculpture and site-responsive interventions. His practice centres on process-based work in decommissioned buildings and gallery spaces. He took part in a Popps Packing residency in Hamtramck, Michigan, in 2017, where he made works such as wall wash [for Billy] and circle work [for Gabriel].
