James Eric Francis Sr.

James Eric Francis Sr. is a Penobscot tribal historian and artist. He was an artist in residence at Surf Point in York, Maine, in 2026. During the residency he took part in Surf Point's Meet the Residents studio visit, where he presented his work, including The Creation of Shad (mάwαməwak) (2025).
