Jan Carleklev

Jan Carleklev is a Swedish artist whose practice centers on sound, participation and listening, drawing on a background in music and performing arts. He works with collaborators such as insect choirs and 'Sloyd orchestras' to investigate power, knowledge and loss in humanity's relationship with nature. He was a resident artist with Art Inside Out in Halland, where his residency at Hökafältet led to The Sand Singer. His newer performance Ekologik, a nocturnal walk using the sonic world of bats, is shown at Hallands Konstmuseum.
