Jeannine Ouellette

Jeannine Ouellette is a Minneapolis-based writer and teacher whose debut memoir-in-essays, The Part That Burns, was published by Split/Lip Press in January 2021. The book, which deals with childhood, abuse, and motherhood, received a starred Kirkus review. She teaches creative writing with the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop and runs an independent writing program, first called Elephant Rock and later Writing in the Dark.
